The Stibnite Advisory Council gives communities a seat at the table with Perpetua Resources and the opportunity to help shape the Stibnite Gold Project. The council meets monthly to discuss the impacts, concerns and opportunities surrounding the project. The Stibnite Advisory Council is comprised of appointed representatives from eight communities near the project site and Perpetua Resources. Here is a summary of what was discussed during the July 8, 2021 Stibnite Advisory Council meeting:

Council received an update from Laurel Sayer, Perpetua Resources President and CEO on the July 1st Press Release regarding the new timeframe for a Supplemental DEIS and Record of Decision.

Council received an update from Dale Kerner, Perpetua Resources Permitting Manager on the ModPro 2 Alternative refinements that are moving forward through the NEPA process.

Council received a presentation from Kyle Fend, Perpetua Resources Field Operations Manager on Perpetua’s safety programs.

Council voted on a new vice-chair since Gene Tyler is moving. New vice-chair is Pat DeHaas.

Council approved the Independent Water Monitoring Program summary document with changes for Cities and Counties and as a press release.

Council approved the first payment to the U of I for the Independent Water Monitoring Program.

Council working groups discussed their priority areas.
