The Stibnite Advisory Council gives communities a seat at the table with Midas Gold and the opportunity to help shape the Stibnite Gold Project. The council meets monthly to discuss the impacts, concerns and opportunities surrounding the project. The Stibnite Advisory Council is comprised of appointed representatives from eight communities near the project site and Midas Gold. Here is a summary of what was discussed during the January 14, 2021 Stibnite Advisory Council meeting:

Council was reminded that the Representative Appointments for 2021 are due no later than January 25, 2021.

Council received an update on the Workforce Survey from Justin Vaughn, GS Strategy Group.

The environmental working group asked about the potential of creating a community led water monitoring program at the Stibnite site to complement the ongoing water monitoring program that Midas currently has in place.

Midas presented an analysis of concerns received during the comment period and asked that SAC participate in the solution finding conversations over the coming year.

Laurel Sayer provided a brief update on the Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent.
